The album download includes a PDF of all the scores written for the project (for tracks 2-10).
Updates will be made to both the album and the scores as some performers want to spend more time with their piece and submit a revised recording, while others have performance notes to add to the scores. I'm asking for your email address so I can keep you updated about... updates. You'll be able to unsubscribe from any updates you don't want.
Tumble me down, and I will sit
Upon my ruins, smiling yet;
Tear me to tatters, yet I’ll be
Patient in my necessity.
Laugh at my scraps of clothes, and shun
Me, as a fear’d infection;
Yet, scare-crow-like, I’ll walk as one
Neglecting thy derision.
My album for the RPM Challenge 2012. The whole album was written (with one exception) and recorded during February 2012.
At the heart of Lucky Dip is a rather wild idea I had at the start of the month. I offered to write a piece for any instrument for up to nine people. Anyone who wanted to could sign up - amateur or professional, expert or beginner - and the first nine to raise their hand would get a piece.
The instruments featured on this album are:
flute
oboe
piano
harp
slide guitar
bass guitar
treble recorder
bass-baritone voice
trombone
